This is the story of Kairi Yen Nguyen. Kairi was born with severe/total hearing impairment. I am keeping this web log for her so that she and others can share in the journey that her life will have to take with this condition.

July 4th

This is the first year that Kairi was able to hear the music and enjoy the fireworks with her new hearing. We went to Happy Valley Park in Portland Oregon. We all had a lot of fun. Kairi showed us that she knew how to hear the fireworks. Too bad she fell asleep before the show actually started. Maybe next year.
